Fused Glass Earrings

These one of a kind earrings are created with soft pink, brown and clear glass. They are mounted on sterling silver backings and hung with sterling silver wire. Earrings measure 1 "long .75" wide at their longest and widest points. There are also listings for pendants in the same color design.

They complement one another but do not match perfectly! Fun!

The earrings are created by firing multiple layers of glass for many hours in a hot kiln at temperatures exceeding 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. The glass is allowed to cool and then cold worked (cutting and grinding) into a pleasing organic shape. Each piece is then returned to the kiln and fired again to give it a nice thick polished edge.

Please note that small bubbles can form between the layers of glass where air has become trapped as the piece fully fuses. This is part of the whimsy of kiln firing.

Each set is handcrafted in my St. Petersburg, FL studio.
